Test sound edit AS media

This was completed by Panashe Charamba as part of team Blackhat's test sound edit for the 2 minute opening.

When creating sound we have a few options for the film. we are able to use both diabetic and non diabetic sound. In our filming we are going to use non-diabetic sound, this is because we do not have the correct recording equipment that will allow use to get good clear sound, that we will need for our opening. We are able to make musical sound tacks using software like garage band, or download clips from free sound.

In garage band I was able to layer pre-recorded beats and sounds to create a track, which to add to the film opening, the screen shot below shows the practice sound track which I made to familiarise myself with the software.
Garage band also allowed me to control the fade of the tracks freely to match in to any footage and film we are going to use.
Overall garage band was a good way to create a track as it allows us to match the sound track to the actual film, which would give it a much greater impact, on the audience. Garage band was also setup similarly to premiere pro, this made it very easy to adapt, and made the overall process much easier.

The final test sound edit, found track is shown below:

Like in garage band free sound also had sounds and tracks preloaded on to it which you could use, but in this cue these where sounds which outer people had made so you would get a greater variation and choose in the sounds which you are able to choose from.
On the other hand you can not manipulate these sounds on the site its self but you can then download them ad addd them to garage band.

In the screen shot below it shows, what free sound looks like. I have simply searched for horror, in the  search bar, and it shows a range of sounds under this category, which you can listen to and use.

Overall garage band is a good site which can be used, if you are struggling to create your own sound track, and if you cannot find certain sound effect from garage band.
