Experimenting with Make Up
After looking at the different make up techniques within horror movies, I played around with some face paint and created a distorted character image.
After experimenting with different types of make up ideas for our movie opening, BlackHat films decided on their final idea for what the make up will look like.
The lady 'Carrie' will look very grey/pale from using plenty of face paint and possibly talcum powder as she will need to look old and rotten. We will use makeup such as talcum powder on the hair and the rest of the body to add this effect. She will be hanging herself so there will be no need for drastic cuts on her face however we are going to add slits on her wrist from her suffering the depression she went through from the loss of her son. This will be done with wax, fake blood, Vaseline and face paint.
The boy 'Matt' will have a slight brush of talcum powder to make his face quite pale but not to an extreme this will be because he would have seen Carrie will become shocked and mortified - the expression of the white face will help show his emotion.
